Beautiful monumental lamp from the Nieuwe Honsel.
The production of lamps like these required a very complicated process.
Bending the double-layered glass and then firing the colors onto the glass, for example.
De Nieuwe Honsel has the most prominent reputation for producing lamps like this one.
Starting circa 1923 the firm continued production until 1932.
This is a prime example of a lamp from The Netherlands.
This lamp is shown in Frans Leidelmeier’s book Art Nouveau & Art Deco in Nederland 1983.
