The teapot is decorated with rural Chinese landscape scenes. One side shows a fisherman in a boat by the river.
Blossoming trees adorn the front of the scene. In the back we see a mountainous landscape with pine trees.
The base of the teapot is marked with and Jiajing mark in a double ring. The handle is decorated with clouds, and the lid is decorated with stylized ruyi.
